Former Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins has hit the headlines following an appearance on ITV’s This Morning. In the interview with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Hopkins shared her controversial views about names and class, saying she’d not let her children play with other children called (among other things) Tyler, Charmaine or Chardonnay.

“A name, for me, is a short way of working out what class that child comes from,” Hopkins said. “[And I can decide from that] do I want my child to play with them?”

A cringe-worthy moment came when Hopkins made it clear that she didn’t like geographical names, with Schofield then mentioning that her own daughter was called India. “That’s not related to a place,” Hopkins said.

Do you agree with Hopkins? Can you judge a person, and their class, by their name? Click below to share your thoughts.
