Your kingdom come; your will be done,
Across our nation, we pray.
As we vote, we give you thanks that we are able to do so.
Thank you Lord, for the nation we live in; where democracy reigns so that we are able to freely choose who will lead.
We pray for nations where this right is not freely given; Lord, be at work among the political systems of our world and bring your justice and righteousness to all nations.
As we vote, we pray for one another.
Give us wisdom as we cast our votes. Help us to vote wisely; may we hear your whisper and guidance as we do so.
We pray for peace and unity among communities. Help us to love our voting neighbours as ourselves, with respect, kindness and mercy.
As we vote, we pray for our leaders.
Bring wisdom and guidance to each leader, as they stand up for what they believe in. Provide fresh strength and energy. Give a willingness to listen and learn. Pour out a humility to be respectful of one another. Draw near to them, today.
As we vote, we recommit ourselves to you.
Help us to place our hope and trust in you above all earthly decisions; to trust that you are in control. Remind us today that you are actively working in our nation, for your glory.
