Phil Elbourne
5-word-bio:
“Londoner. Artist. Reader. Painter. Human.”
Best project you’ve ever done?:
“Every painting is the most important thing in the world, while I’m making it. I also recently climbed some hills to blow a horn at each peak.”
Current project:
“I’m painting work which has ideas of Bathos – a discarded firework, a jigsaw puzzle on a plinth etc. I’m also co-curating an exhibition of artists whose work responds to ‘body mass’, to open in January at Husk Gallery.”
How does being a Christian help you as an artist?:
“Perspective and priorities. Art-works will decay. Movements will be forgotten. Philosophies will be rewritten. God’s kingdom will last forever.”
Where can we hear more?:
Phil’s website and collaborative blog.
Rebekah Harvey
5-word-bio:
“London-based actor. Musician. Writer.”
Best project you’ve ever done?:
“The Glasgow Passion. It was a huge multi-media theatre production in George Square. I played two completely different roles; a waitress and a news reporter.”
Current project:
“I’m making my own film, an expressive piece in which I dance and play my violin. It hopes to explore the struggle to be creative.”
How does being a Christian help you as an artist?:
“God has give me my gifts. He gives me encouragement and confidence to use them, and the courage to keep going.”
Where can we hear more?:
Rebekah’s Spotlight page and her website.
Andrew Jamieson

Current project:
“I’m working on Children of War, the follow up to The Vengeance Path, and book two in The Chronicles of Edenos.”
How does being a Christian help you as an artist?:
“Having an endless wellspring of faith and hope to draw from gets me through the tough stretches.”
