What we loved in November: the inspo round-up

Because who doesn’t love a bit of inspo on a Thursday morning?

We asked around our lovely colleagues to find out what they’ve been reading and listening to over the last month, and have brought you this: the definitive collection of EVERYTHING GOOD that you could be listening, reading or watching. Well, until next month, obvs.

The Only Thing That Matters – Eikon
The perfect Christmas song by electro-gospel duo Eikon.

Exile – Nadine
Singer/songwriter Nadine has an incredibly beautiful, poignant sound – can’t stop listening to this!

Hello – Adele (Paul DaMixie Remix)
Ok, we put our hands up – we’ve been listening to Hello on repeat. We are those people. But this remix really is GOOD.

Clearest Blue – Chvrches (Live)
Their performance last Friday at Alexandra Palace was described as “muscular  and “expansive” by the FT. If you didn’t get to catch them there, have a listen to their live performance at the Pitchfork Music Festival this year, and close your eyes.

Scorpion
A TV show about a genius who recruits other geniuses to sort out the world’s problem. Genius. (Sorry)

Nightbird – Eva Cassidy (previously unseen footage)
Need we say more?

The RobCast
Whether you’re a fan or not, Rob Bell’s foray into the world of podcasts is always a fascinating listen. His latest episode is an interview with Opal Tometi, co-founder of #blacklivesmatter.

The Last Kingdom
Another addictive TV series, this BBC drama focuses on the epic struggle between the Danes and the Saxons in the late ninth century.

Treehugger
For those wanting to be more informed on environmental issues, as COP21 continues, this is a great place to start. Accessible and informative. Also, check out our update from COP21 from this week, if you haven’t caught it yet.

St Cecilia EP – Foo Fighters
The Foo Fighters have released this EP, dedicated to the victims of the Paris attack. It’s free to download, but the band have asked that donations be made to The Sweet Stuff Foundation, to help the victims’ families.
