Multi-author blog of the year!

On Saturday night we had the wonderful pleasure of being awarded ’Multi-author blog of the year’ at the Christian New Media Awards. While it’s not something we strive for in itself, it’s lovely to be recognised among peers.

The nature of the award though, leads us to divert the praise and attention to you lot. We bother you non-stop to ask for your contributions and you respond generously, giving us your time and talent.

Over the last year there have been around 270 posts from 150 writers (!). We wouldn’t have won that award were it not for all you lovelies. Yes, that’s a cliché but it’s true! Thomas, Amaris and Chine are good writers, but not that good.

In reflection we’re far more thankful for you than the award itself. threads is living proof that the millennial generation are not a lost cause. We’re a curious mix of passion and laziness. We’re aspiring to live full lives. We aren’t happy with mediocre. We’re earnestly trying to make sense of the life God has given us. That leads us to asking questions. We don’t mind if we come to different conclusions because we welcome diversity – it helps us make sense of things.

We’ve got some genuinely exciting things coming up over the next few months. And we’re not just saying that because it’s a good thing to finish with. You’ll just have to trust us.

In return, we’ll keep on pestering you to help us out. In fact, later this week we’ll be contacting you about how you can secure the future of threads. We’d love to see our little community continue to thrive, so we hope you’ll support us.

And so, all that remains is to let you know again just how much we appreciate each and every member of the threads community. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
